Dr. Lee David Stein received his B.A. from the University of Vermont and his M.D. from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA. During his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Nassau County Medical Center, he met his future wife, Michelle Bank Stein Ph.D., who was on staff as a clinical psychologist.
In 1994, Dr. Stein did a Fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Dr. Stein was employed by South Nassau Communities Hospital from 1995 to 2007, where he was Director of Vascular and Interventional Radiology. He joined New Island Diagnostic Imaging, providing radiology services at St. Joseph Hospital, St. Francis Hospital and Mercy Medical Center. Dr. Lee Stein is the co-director of St. Joseph Hospital Radiology Department.
Dr. Stein enjoys spending time with his family. He has two daughters, Nicole and Alexa. Nicole is in a graduate social work program at Columbia University and Alexa is studying computer science at Bentley University in Waltham, MA. Dr. Stein has a great love for adventure and food. He enjoys travelling, watching cooking shows and trying his hand at new recipes. His major passion is skiing, either on the slopes or in the water.
